Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Your Kenya safari tour begins as you take the 10:20 am flight from Wilson Airport, landing in Nanyuki around 11:30 am. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airstrip and driven to Porini Rhino Camp, located within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy beneath the slopes of Mount Kenya. After a relaxing lunch and afternoon refreshments at the camp, enjoy your first wildlife outing in a 4×4 guided by an expert driver. Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight in the bush.
Day 2: Exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Awaken to the wild sounds of nature and spend the entire day in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of the best places in East Africa to spot black rhinos. Enjoy morning and afternoon wildlife drives and guided walks, pausing at a scenic lookout for drinks as the sun dips below the horizon. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight under the stars.
Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Masai Mara
Start your day with an early meal before heading to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. Upon landing, your new guide will pick you up for a drive through the Ol Kinyei Conservancy en route to Porini Mara Camp. After settling in and enjoying lunch, set off for another safari drive, followed by a twilight outing using spotlights to seek out nocturnal species such as leopard and hyena. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Full Day in the Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the day discovering the rich wildlife of the world-renowned Masai Mara. Enjoy picnic lunch surrounded by nature and return to camp by late afternoon. After another sundowner, join your guide for a night drive back to Porini Mara Camp, keeping watch for animals active after dark.
Day 5: Wildlife Adventures in Ol Kinyei Conservancy
Begin before sunrise with a game drive in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy, home to elephant, giraffe, lion, and herds of plains game. After a late breakfast, join a guided walk to observe smaller flora and fauna, followed by lunch at camp. Later in the day, head out again, with a chance to witness night creatures illuminated by spotlight before heading back to Porini Mara Camp for dinner and rest.
Day 6: Travel to the Serengeti, Tanzania
Enjoy one last morning game drive or guided walk before breakfast. Around mid-morning, depart for Migori by plane (departing 11:00 am). From there, take a short drive to the Isebania border, where immigration procedures are quick and efficient. After crossing into Tanzania, continue to Tarime airstrip and board your afternoon flight to the Serengeti. Expect to arrive at Seronera airstrip by 3:20 pm and reach Nimali Central Serengeti Camp around 4:30 pm. For the next two nights, enjoy full board accommodation, drinks included, and shared wildlife drives across the iconic plains.
Day 7: Game Drives in Serengeti National Park
Early morning safaris in the Serengeti are ideal for observing active predators like lions and sometimes black rhino. Return to camp for a warm lunch, relax, and then head out again in the late afternoon. Finish the day with drinks and appetizers as you watch the golden hues of sunset over the savannah.
Day 8: Serengeti to Lake Manyara and Karatu
Begin the day with a morning outing in the park followed by breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for a short flight to Lake Manyara (departing at 11:00 am). A camp guide will meet you with a packed lunch and lead you into the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, celebrated for its scenic beauty and bird-rich lakeshore. Look out for flamingos, pelicans, elephants, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. After your visit, travel to Tloma Lodge in Karatu, arriving in the late afternoon. Relax, dine, and overnight at the lodge.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart at 8:00 am for a wildlife safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse habitats. Explore the crater floor and enjoy a picnic lunch at Lerai. In the afternoon, make your way to Nimali Tarangire, reaching the lodge around 4:45 pm. Dinner and overnight stay are included with select beverages.
Day 10: Full Day in Tarangire National Park
Set out after breakfast with packed lunch for a complete day of viewing wildlife in Tarangire. Known for its ancient baobab trees and sizable elephant herds, this national park also supports lions, leopards, giraffes, and more than 500 species of birds. After a rich day out, return to Nimali Tarangire for your evening meal and overnight stay.
Day 11: Tarangire to Nairobi
Enjoy your last breakfast in camp before taking the scenic drive to Arusha. After a brief stop in town, continue on to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your 13:50 flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Upon landing around 3:20 pm, you’ll be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
