Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Found between the baobab trees within Tarangire National Park, the main features of this lodge include beautiful marble floors, water fountains as well as waterfalls, with spectacular views as you watch through the wide windows.

This lodge can house about 160 guests within 75 suites and each has carpets running from one wall to another, a private lounge having a mini bar, the bedroom has 2 queen-size beds plus enough room for an additional bed, an inside bathroom having shaver sockets plus a hair dryer, as well as a private verandah that offers breathtaking views of the terrain scattered with baobab.

This Lodge has a lavish swimming pool, as well as a direct-dial satellite-telephone in addition to satellite television plus video filming facilities. Our circular suites have high conical roofs. Since the lodge isn’t fenced in at all, wild animals do move in and out of the lodge’s vicinity freely and at times you may be able encounter an elephant as you move to and from your room. This is the sole reason why you will always be accompanied by our guards as you move between your room and the dining tent.

The interior of the rooms is very cool and you will certainly pleasure in the spaciousness, and also enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding right from your verandah. It has a mini-bar, 2 double beds as well as a lot of space, a well furnished bathroom, and all these will make you wish for another night.

The 75 spacious rooms, each has a private verandah, 2 queen-size beds covered with a mosquito net.

4 of the rooms are appropriate for any guests with disabilities.

Food and Wine  

On the opposite side of the reception area is a coffee shop in which you can have  an assortment of Tanzanian freshly brewed coffee plus some baked pastries, while close to this area a series of steps will take you down to the dining area for a relaxing – and constantly delicious  meal under a lavishly painted high gable on one side of this room. Also the floor is a masterpiece of design with its multi-colored timber as well as copper nails.
